The Flow of the Spirit

We should know that through the past ages the flow of the Spirit is continually going further, not only granting much revelation concerning the church, but also enabling us to see the practical way of carrying out the church.

Thank the Lord that He granted our Brother Sparks much revelation concerning the church. But at the time that he refused the practical way of carrying out the church, he was resisting the flow of the Spirit. This refusal prevented the Spirit from having much more of a way in him. This is really a serious and fearful thing.

On August 18, 1958, Brother Lee went to Kilcreggan, Scotland, to have fellowship with Brother Sparks for two weeks.

At the time that he refused the practical way of carrying out the church, he was resisting the flow of the Spirit.

At that time, Brother Sparks told Brother Lee directly that since leaving Taipei in 1957, as soon as the plane was taking off, within him he felt very clearly that the flow was cut off, and to that day it had not been restored.

In 1965, one brother went to a conference in Waubana in which Brother Sparks took the lead. According to this brother’s impression at that time, Brother Sparks’ ministry had lost its impact. This again shows that when Brother Sparks refused the way of the Spirit, the flow within him was cut off, and he gradually lost his ministry. This is a serious lesson for us, warning us to be careful.
