How to Enjoy God
Witness Lee noted that if we only say that Christ is everything and that everything is according to Christ, but we lack the reality of enjoying Christ and gaining Christ, all we have is empty talk. By God’s leading, there were three conferences within fifty days in the church in Taipei.
The first conference, which began February 18, lasted for six days. The content of the conference was How to Eat and Drink God, How to Fellowship with God, and How to Enjoy God Himself.

This helped the brothers and sisters change their concept. The conference was full of spiritual feeding. After the conference, everyone returned to his own locality. Although there were so many who desired to follow the Lord, the leading ones were not adequate to implement this burden. The saints then asked Brother Lee to minister the help and leading corporately.
On March 3, a second conference commenced and continued for seven days. This continued the theme of the previous conference: How to Enjoy God. Representatives of some 30 localities attended. These messages were very practical, and they ministered much help. The impact was far-reaching. After the conference, the brothers and sisters had gained some experiences of enjoying God, and they returned to their localities for further exercise. It was apparent that the the brothers and sisters had applied themselves and had gained some measure of experience. However, they still lacked the practical way to enter into what had been shared. Then Brother Lee, with a deep concern in spirit, visited the various localities. The elders entreated him to hold another series of meetings and give a further demonstration of his burden.
The third conference was a seven-day conference which began March 31. These meetings opened with one or two brothers giving a demonstration and testimony of how they themselves enjoyed God, how they read the Bible, how they pray-read, and how they ate and drank God. Then Brother Lee would evaluate what they said, giving correction and teaching the basic principles. He pointed out the shortage in their exercise and how they could improve. He also demonstrated for them. Those brothers who expressed Brother Lee’s burden proved the value of what he had shared. Those who had difficulty still received help. Those who were lacking received some perfecting. Thus, the meetings were practical, full of reality, and impressive. After this conference, almost every saint had some understanding of how to enjoy God.
